Also ensure the settings.bin file is labeled correctly, and not for example settings(1).bin or of another filetype. In some cases, removing any previously downloaded settings.bin files also resolves the issue.

    While downloading the file directly to the OFA REMOTE drive can work, in some cases, it is advised to download it to your computer first and then copy it over to the OFA REMOTE drive. Read more

    Some browsers will rename files when they download another file with the same name by adding a number such as [1] at the end of the file name.
    However, the Simple 4 will only accept a file called settings.bin, which in this case is the oldest version.
    To be sure you have the latest version, please delete all files called settings.bin and settings[x].bin from your downloads folder and try downloading from the website again.
