  • How do I program my code on my Smart Control 5? To program the basic code on your Smart Control remote, please follow the instructions mentioned below:
    1. Hold down MAGIC until the light blinks once and then twice and stays lit.
    2. Use the DEVICES key to select the relevant device mode.
    3. Enter the code, the light will blink twice and turn off.
    4. You can now operate your device.
    If the LED does not blink twice at the end, please try the following:
    1. Hold down MAGIC until the light blinks once and then twice and stays lit.
    2. Use the DEVICES key to select the relevant device mode.
    3. Enter 992, the light will blink twice.
    4. Press the Magic key once, the light blinks once.
    5. Press the Magic key again, the light will blink twice and turn off.
    6. You can now set up the device code.

  • How can I program a missing function on my Smart Control 5? It is possible to add missing functions via a procedure known as “Key Magic.”
    If you provide the relevant information via this web form we will supply a 5 digit code to be programmed for each missing function.

    To use the Key Magic procedure, please follow the instructions outlined below:
    1. Use the DEVICES key to select the relevant device mode.
    2. Hold down MAGIC until the light blinks once and then twice and stays lit.
    3. Enter the code 994, the light will blink twice.
    4. Press Magic once and let go.
    5. Enter the code of the required function, see below. 
    6. Press the One For All key you wish to assign the function to. 
    7. The light blinks twice and that key should now function.

    Please note:

    • The DEVICES, ACTIVITY, Smart control keys and Magic key cannot be programmed.
    • The functions listed here might not all be compatible with your specific make and model. Programming a function that does not exist on the original remote control might cause malfunction or damage for which One For All cannot be held responsible.

    Please ensure your phone has Bluetooth enabled and that it is Bluetooth Smart Ready (Bluetooth Low Energy). 
    Check the compatibility section for more information and a list of devices (you can also use an app called BLE checker to find out if your smartphone uses Bluetooth Smart).

    Please also ensure that the Smart Control 5 has fresh batteries in it and is in working order.

    If your smart phone meets these recommendations, try rebooting your phone to see if this resolves the issue.

    When a detected device is selected, it will result in an overview displaying brand name, model and code.

  • What is the NETTV key for?

    The NETTV key is for viewing digital TV, streamed over the internet.
    If your original remote control already had a key for this, for example, many newer TVs have a Netflix key, then this key will perform the same as the key on your original remote.

    However, if you did not have a key like this, but still had the ability to watch astreaming service, you can use this key as a shortcut by programming a macro on it.
    Most AV devices which are connected to the internet, such as Smart TVs or streaming Set Top Boxes have one or more applications they can run to access TV viewing via the internet.
    Examples of these would be Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer or similar.

    A real time macro records the same amount of seconds a menu on your original device takes to come up.
    For example, if the menu on your TV takes 3 seconds to come up, the One for All Remote will retain this information.
    A regular macro sends out multiple functions to the selected devices, but it does not record real time.
    You can only program a real time macro on the NETTV key. You can program a regular macro on the other keys.

  • I need to press and hold down the POWER key for my device to switch on. How can I include this is in a Macro? Our remote controls always send out the standard duration of a signal, which enables most Macros.
    In your case, you need to keep the key pressed for a few seconds, which we are unable to reproduce into our Macros.
