  • I cannot connect to the ez-rc website even though I have the software from the CD ROM installed?

The software has been updated. Please download the file from this location www.oneforall.com/conduit/conduit.exe . Once downloaded, please close all Internet Explorer Windows and run the file. The EZ-RC program will update, and you can then access the EZ-RC website.

  • Is it possible to put a Macro on the Power key in an Activity?

Yes, using the Advanced Activity Wizard, or by modifying the Activity and selecting ‘key control assignment’. This is useful for creating an “All off” Macro for example.

To do this you will first have to create a Macro from the Advanced section of the Main Menu screen. Give the Macro a relevant name, for example ‘All Off’. Next, build the Macro by selecting the device and function to the right of the function list, and click the arrow to transfer the function to the list. Please make sure you check all available functions in the list (including extended functions), as it may include discrete Power On and Power Off functions, which will only turn the device in question on or off, not toggle between the two states. These functions may be present in the list even if they were not available on the original remote.

Next, assign the Macro to a key on one of your devices, and the Macro Wizard will close.

To add the Macro to the Power key in an Activity, select ‘Modify Activity’ from the Main Menu page, and when prompted select the ‘key control assignment’. Here you will be able to edit which keys control which devices during the Activity, and if you select the Power key, the Macro is now available to assign to it.

  • Is it possible to simulate a ‘press & hold’ effect on a key within a Macro or Activity?

This is a new feature that enables the remote to simulate a key being held down in a Macro or Activity. When editing or creating a Macro (from the Advanced section on the Main Menu screen) or when using the Advanced wizard to create an Activity, there is a screen where the timing between the commands sent in a macro can be adjusted. This now has an extra option called Press and Hold Duration, which allows for a key to be held down for up to 20 seconds.

This means the remote can now turn on Panasonic TVs, for example, which require the Power key to be held down for approximately one and a half to two seconds.

  • Is it possible to put my devices, activities & profiles in a different order?

It is now possible to change the order that Devices, Activities and Profiles appear on the remote. This can be done from the Main Menu, by clicking Devices (for example), and as well as Add, Delete etc, there is now the extra option ‘Reorder Devices’.

Once selected, a list of currently programmed devices is displayed, and can be re-ordered by clicking on the device name, followed by the up or down arrows shown on the right to change its position in the list.

  • I know the code that my device uses, can I just enter it?

If you add a device on  www.ez-rc.com, after choosing the brand, click “find it here” under the question “Do you know the remote setup code for this device?”. On the next screen you will be able to choose from a list of codes, or type it in manually.

  • I don’t see the logo I need in the Favorites section, can I add it?

One For All is constantly updating our database of fully-authorized Channel Logos, more will follow soon. If however you wish to add a channel of your choosing, select the slot for a Favorite channel, and click “Show Text Label”, and the type the name of the channel you wish to add. It will then be displayed as a button on your Xsight remote.

  • I know the code that my device uses, can I just enter it?

If you add a device on www.ez-rc.com, after choosing the brand, click “find it here” under the question “Do you know the remote setup code for this device?”. On the next screen you will be able to choose from a list of codes, or type it in manually.

  • The website www.ez-rc.com will not load, I just get a blank page?

Please check the security settings on Internet Explorer by going to the Tools>Internet Options menu, and selecting the Security tab. Due to the site using ActiveX for programming your remote, the security setting must be at “Medium High” or lower.

  • I left my Xsight Touch plugged in to my PC overnight, and the next day the battery was dead. Is this normal?

Although the Xsight Touch can charge via USB, as a safety precaution it stops charging after 335 minutes. However if it is connected via USB to a PC, the remote remains running on full power as it is anticipating communication from the PC. For this reason, One For All do not recommend leaving your remote connected to the PC when not in use.

  • Can I use www.ez-rc.com with Mozillla, Firefox, or another browser?

Due to the use of ActiveX, www.ez-rc.com is currently only compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher.

  • I cannot connect my remote to ez-rc.com when I click the connect button?

Firstly please make sure to allow the ActiveX control if you have not yet done so – you will see a beige information bar appear at the top of the Window. Next, please ensure that in Internet Explorer> Internet Options that your Privacy Level is set to Medium High or lower. Also please ensure to allow (or prompt) third party cookies in Advanced.

  • Using the Back button on Internet Explorer results in an unexpected page?

We recommend that you use the Previous and Next buttons on the website itself. If you are in the middle of a wizard, Internet Explorer sees this as one page, so pressing back on the browser button will result in exiting the wizard.

  • Once a Macro is setup, how can I change which device it is assigned to?

You can change this via the “Edit Extended Keys” option under the Advanced section of the Main Menu.

  • The installation on my Windows XP system seems to take a long time, is this normal?

If you do not have Service Pack 3 installed on your XP machine yet, the installation program must download and install this. As the service pack is over 300mb, it can take a while depending on the speed of your Internet connection. If you already have SP3 installed (either manually or via Windows Automatic Update), the installation should be significantly shorter.

  • Is it possible to remove the ‘Assist’ button from the screen?

It is now possible to hide the ‘Assist’ key by deselecting the “Show Assist Button” in the Advanced Activity wizard, or by modifying the Activity and selecting “key control assignment”.

  • An update window appears when I try to log on to EZ-RC, but the software does not seem to update properly.

Please download the file from this location www.oneforall.com/conduit/conduit.exe . Once downloaded, please close all Internet Explorer Windows and run the file. The EZ-RC program will update, and you can then access the EZ-RC website.

  • Where can I find the right code for my device, to install onto my One For All remote?

Please use the "find your setup code" tab above.

  • Which universal remote should I buy?

    Please use our product selector.

  • Which device key on the One for All do I use for DVD-Home Cinema?

Please use the AUD key on the remote. After programming the set-up code please test the volume keys. Also please check if the 1-0 keys change the inputs and if play and stop work correctly with the DVD. Should you require further information or assistance, please contact our Customer Care Center (see instruction manual).

  • How can I tune in my TV channels?

You should find instructions on how to do the tuning in your TV user manual. If you no longer have the user manual, nor the original remote and you do not know exactly how the tuning was done, you should contact the TV manufacturer for assistance. Quote your TV model number and either ask them to replace the manual, or ask them to tell you, step by step, how you would tune the TV stations when using the original remote control. Please email us (email@uebv.com) with this information so that we are able to provide you with the required programming procedure.

  • Does the One for All operate Sky+ ?

Yes, the One for All operates all brands including this one. The code for your Sky+ is Satellite code 1175.

  • Why am I not able to learn when using 1068 for my cable box?

It is not possible to programme additional functions, either by learning or key magic onto your One for All when using code 1068. The Pace box you have does not use what we call normal infra red or IR signal but IRDA signal. Such signal is a lot faster than normal IR and carries a lot more data (one command of IR from a normal remote contains 2 or 3 byte data while the IRDA sends 7 bytes for every key press). Therefore, the code 1068 is very complicated and has no available space left for additional functions.

  • What device key do I use for Freeview?

The SAT key should be used for programming the Freeview.

  • Does the One for All operate my SkyHD?
