How can I program a missing function onto my One For All remote?
You can use the learning function of the Smart Control 7960, by following the instructions in the manual, which can be found in the manual tab above.
Why doesn't the learning work?
A long blink indicates that the Smart Control 7960 failed to learn the signal from the original remote. There could be a number of reasons for this.
Firstly, check the original remote is working correctly.
Next, make sure you are not performing the learning procedure under bright lighting or in bright sunlight as this can interfere.
Also ensure that the two remotes are approximately 2 to 3 cm apart, and that the transmitting end of the original remote is facing the remote. Sometimes holding the key on the original remote down for slightly longer may help, and conversely sometimes quickly pressing and releasing the key on the original works better.
Finally if the batteries in your remote are low, this could cause the unit to exit the programming mode. Try with some new batteries if available.
How do I delete a learned function?
If you would like to delete a learned function on your Smart Control 7960 that you no longer require, please read the delete learning section in the manual, which can be found in the manual tab above.
Which device key on the One for All do I use for DVD-Home Cinema?
On the Smart Control 7960, you can use the DVD and AMP key for your DVD-Home Cinema. After programming the set-up code please test the volume keys. Also please check if the 1-0 keys change the inputs and if play and stop work correctly with the DVD-Home Cinema.
What device key do I use for Freeview?
On the Smart Control 7960, the SAT key should be used for programming the Freeview.
Does the One for All operate my Sky+ or SkyHD receiver?
Yes, the Smart Control 7960 operates all brands including this one. The basic code for most mainstream Sky+ receivers is Satellite code 1175. For SkyHD, this is Satellite code 1662.
You can also use the "Find your setup code" tab above to find the right code for your Smart Control 7960 and enter the exact make and model number of your Sky receiver.
How can I tune in my TV channels?
The Smart Control 7960 does not have its own way of tuning in the channels. This depends entirely on how the tuning was done with the original remote. You should find instructions on how to do the tuning in your TV user manual.
If you no longer have the user manual, nor the original remote, and you do not know exactly how the tuning was done, please contact the TV manufacturer for assistance. Quote your TV model number and either ask them to replace the manual, or ask them to tell you, step by step, how you would tune the TV stations when using the original remote control.
If you require special functions for tuning the channels, you can contact our Customer Support Team by clicking the link below. We will need to know how these keys were labeled (i.e., name, symbol, color, etc…) on the original TV remote control.
